M.A.R.E. Riding Center is very excited to be celebrating its 28th year serving the Bakersfield Community. This year’s Diamonds & Denim event will be held on Friday, October 12th at our M.A.R.E. facility. This year’s theme “Evening with the Horses”, will allow our community partners to see first-hand how miracles happen one stride at a time, using these beautiful animals.

At M.A.R.E. we provide scholarships to over 51% of our riders to keep their fees affordable. Furthermore, we underwrite 74% of the costs of each session which also helps cover the expenses of our 11 equine partners. Since fundraising & private donations account for 79% of our revenue, the success of this event is essential to continue M.A.R.E.’s programs. We can’t meet our goal without the help of our Bakersfield community. We are looking forward to a successful event to help ensure M.A.R.E.’s future. In addition to the cocktails, dinner and music, we’ve secured exciting new live & silent auction items like extravagant trips to Tuscany, and experiences including, golfing in Pebble Beach, trips to Nashville and a trip to the Kentucky Derby!

By attending Diamonds & Denim, you’ll be able to help us maintain our scholarship program and equine care to assist children, adults, and veterans of our community with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Through our Equine Assisted Program these individuals find strength and independence.
